ABSTRACT A novel colorimetric and fluorescent pH sensor derived from iminocoumarin and thiophene-carboxaldehyde was designed and synthesized. The structures of the dye and related compounds were characterized by IR, 1 H NMR, 13 C NMR, and mass spectra.
