During its first 11 years of publication, the Journal of Crystal and Molecular Structure has become recognized for the high degree of academic scholarship of the research papers it publishes. The growth of the journal has been hindered somewhat by difficulties with publication schedules, and the original goal of focusing in both the areas of crystallography and spectroscopy has not been fully realized.
