Abstract Novel triply hydrogen bonded suprastructures based on [M (tdpd) 2 (L) 2] 2−(H 2 tdpd= 1, 4, 5, 6-tetrahydro-5, 6-dioxo-2, 3-pyrazinedicarbonitrile, L= solvent) and melamine- analogous cations have been synthesized and characterized.
