The addition of thiols to chlorofluoroethylenes was carried out under γ-ray irradiation; chlorofluoroethyl alkyl sulfides were thus obtained. Ghlorofluoroethyl alkyl sulfoxides and sulfones were prepared by the oxidation of the sulfides.
