We describe the synthesis and some reactions of ethyl-azomethine-tricarboxylate 2 with dienes. Only the reaction with cyclopentadiene proceeds at normal pressure. At 104 atm, 2, 3-dimethylbutadiene, isoprene, 1-phenylbutadiene and the indolylisoprenes 13 and 16 give addition products with 2.
