Derivatives of 7-hydroxy-5, 8-quinolinequinone(VI) which are isomeric with the previously reported 7-substituted-F-hydroxy-5, 8-quinolinequinones have been prepared. The known 5, 7-diamino-8-hydroxyquinoline was oxidized to the corresponding quinone-imine which on acid hydrolysis yielded the parent 7-hydroxy-5, 8-quinolinequinone(VI).
