Abstract

Several 1-substituted acenaphthenes have been shown to exhibit biological activity. For instance, 1-(aminomethyllacenaphthene (la)(Figure 1) is a hypotensive agent, l acenaphthene-1-carboxylic acid (lb) is a plantgrowth controlling substance, 2 and its amide derivative with N-methyl-2-pyrrolidinocyclohexylamine(IC) shows very high k-Opioid receptor affinity and~ electivity,~ it is 100 times more potent than morphine.
