Abstract 3, 4-Difluoro-1-t-butyl-pyrrole was synthesized by the thermal [2+ 3] cycloaddition of 2-carbomethoxy-1-t-butyl-aziridine with chlorotrifluoro-ethylene, followed by treatment with sodium methoxide then with alcoholic potassium hydroxide. Thermal decarboxylation afforded the title compound.
