Abstract An one-pot reaction of O-alkyl arylphosphonites 1 with α-aryl-β-nitroalkenes (β- nitrostyrenes) 2 in the presence of trimethylsilylchloride and triethylamine was studied. Twenty-three new α-aryl-β-nitroalkylphosphinates 3a-y were synthesized in high yield under very mild condition. Compounds 3 consist of two pairs of diastereomeric isomers (A) and (B).
