Abstract It has been established that the electrolysis of 2, 3-epoxypropylsulfides,-sulfoxides and-sulfones on Pt or glassy carbon cathodes proceeds via the cleavage of the α C H bond, followed by intramolecular interaction of the α-carbanion with epoxidic ring to give corresponding allylic alcohols in good yields.
