Abstract

Abstract A method for the preparation of an asymmetric superbenzene is presented. The synthesis proceeds through the 12-fold cyclodehydrogenation of a polyaromatic precursor obtained by successive Diels–Alder additions of cyclopentadienones and alkynes.(© Wiley- VCH Verlag GmbH & Co.
