With the aim of increasing the number of potential calcium modulators, we have synthesized new derivatives or omethyl-and 1, 6-dimethyl-4-aryl-5-nitro-2-oxo-1, 2, 3, 4- tetrahydropyrimidines, in which the phenyl fragment contains substituents with different electronic properties, and we have studied their pharmacological properties. In addition, we have studied new approaches to the synthesis of these compounds.
