Abstract

The effects of steric crowding in (C5Me5) 3UMe were probed by synthesizing related complexes and evaluating their structure and reactivity. Deleting one methyl group out of fifteen in (C5Me5) 3UMe caused the structural differences shown here which translate into different reactivity that can be explained with theoretical calculations.
