Abstract

In the reaction of cyclohexane, it was noted that hydrolysis of the residue remaining after removal of unreacted reagents and phosphorus oxychloride gave only 60-75y0 of the amount of cyclohexanephosphonic acid expected from the weight of the residue, assuming it to be cyclohexanephosphonyl chloride.
