Abstract

Hydrosilylation, hydrostannation, carbosilylation, and carbostannation of unactivated alkynes with organosilanes, or organostannanes proceed effectively in the presence of catalytic amounts of Lewis acids to produce the corresponding vinylsilyl or vinylstannyl compounds in a highly regio-and stereoselective way.
