Abstract Bromination of alkenes, alkynes, and aromatic amines has efficiently been carried out at room temperature in short reaction times using potassium bromide/orthoperiodic acid in dichloromethane-water (1: 1) to prepare the corresponding bromo compounds with excellent yields.
