Abstract Electrophilic 1, 2, 3, 4-tetrahydroacridin-9-yl trifluoromethanesulfonates have been prepared and applied for the first time in the synthesis of functionalized tacrines with high efficacy by using the Buchwald–Hartwig amination reaction.
