Abstract

Abstract If Ugi–azide adducts generated from tert-butyl isocyanide, primary amines, and aromatic aldehydes are oxidized by copper (II) salts, the resulting imino tetrazoles may be easily converted into triazoles through Lewis acid catalyzed fragmentation of the tetrazole under microwave conditions.
