Abstract

A study of the pmr and 31P nmr spectra of a series of 3-phospholanone 1-oxides is reported. Both types of nmr spectra and infrared analysis indicate that an enol-keto tautomerism exists in the solid state and in FsCC02H solution. The following l-oxides were investigated: l- benzyl-2-phenylphospholan-3-one, l-benzyl-2-phenyl-4-meth-ylphospholan-3-one, l-benzyl- 2-phenyl-5-methylphospholan-3-bne, l-benzyl-2-phenyl-4, 5-dimethylphospholan-3-one, l ...
