Abstract

Abstract The silicon silicon bond which is either strained or substituted with more than two fluorine atoms is easily oxidized with molecular oxygen and bis-(trimethylsilyl) peroxide (BSPO) at or below room temperature to form mainly the corresponding disiloxane.
