Abstract

It is estimated that hepatitis C virus (HCV) infect 130 million people worldwide. 1 About 50% of the infected cases will become chronic 2 and about 20% of these chronic patients develop liver cirrhosis that can lead to hepatocellular carcinoma. 3 Unfortunately, no vaccine is currently available to prevent hepatitis C.
