Abstract

meso-Tetrakis (p-tolyl) porphyrinatoruthenium (II) carbonyl,[RuII (TTP)(CO)], can effect intermolecular sulfonium and ammonium ylide formation by catalytic decomposition of diazo compounds such as ethyl diazoacetate (EDA) in the presence of allyl sulfides and amines.
