The synthesis of a series of 2, 2-disubstituted-6-cyanocyclohexanones by hydrolysis of the precursor 3, 3-disubstituted-2-amino-1-cyanocyclohexenes (2, 2-disubstituted-6- cyanocyclohexanoneimines) is described.
