ABSTRACT Cobalt phthalocyaninetetrasulphonamide/tetrasodium salt of cobalt tetrasulphophthalocyanine catalyzed oxidation with molecular oxygen form a simple, efficient and environmentally acceptable synthetic tool for the oxidation of thiols to disulphides in excellent yields, under mild conditions and without any side reactions.
