Abstract The equilibrium and kinetics of copper extraction from water solutions of copper (II) perchlorate into chloroform by 8-quinolinol, 2-methyl-8-quinolinol, six 7-alkenyl-8- quinolinols (with C 3 to C 12 side chains) and by 7-(p-tert. butylbenzyl)-8-quinolinol were measured.
