Abstract

Oxidation with Potassium Permanganate.-The general method of oxidation was to dissolve or suspend the organic lead compound in acetone and to reflux and stir the solution during the addition of small portions of potassium permanganate. Successive portions were added as soon as the permanganate color disappeared.
