Abstract

(VI) which is obtained from dibutylamine and 1, 2-dichloro-3, 3, 4, 4, 5, 5- hexafluorocyclopentene(11), but under much milder conditions. I also reacts readily with methanol and with butyl mercaptan in ether solution in the presence of triethylamine, giving the known ether, VIII, or the new compound, butyl 2-chloro-3, 3, 4, 4, 5, 5-hexafluoro-1- cyclopenten-1-yl sulfide (VII). The mechanism of the displacement of fluorine us. chlorine ...
