Elght new trlaryl phosphates (1-8) were syntheslred by phosphorylatlon of the correspondlng phenol with phosphorus oxychlorlde for evaluatlon as statlonary phases In gas chromatography. They were duly characterlred by Infrared, proton magnetlc resonance, and mass spectral technlques after thelr purity was establlshed by HPLC.
