Abstract

The new reagent bis(trimethylsily1)cyanamide reacts with S3N2C12 and (NSC1)3 to give S " S - NCN and CCIS3NS in good yields; the crystal structures of both products have been determined. ... The sulphur-nitrogen-chlorine compounds S3N2C12 and (NSC1)3 are among the most convenient starting materials for preparing sulphur-nitrogen species; consequently efficient reagents for replacing chlorine by other functional groups are of special interest. ...
