Abstract

Direct substitution of the hydroxy group in allylic alcohols by different nitrogenated nucleophiles is performed using low loadings of cationic gold (I) or silver salts as catalysts. Sulfonamides, carbamates and aromatic amines can be used as nucleophiles.
