Abstract

Conclusion Thirty years after the discovery by Huisgen of transient nitrilimines, we have shown that these l, 3 dipolar species can be isolated at room temperature. The use of bulky substituents is necessary and push-pull effects also are important. The electrophilic substitution of diazolithium salts is a new and effective synthetic method for nitrilimines.
