Abstract The title trisaccharide was synthesized from methyl 2, 3, 4-tri-O-benzyl-L-glycero-α- D-manno-heptopyranoside by acetolysis, followed by conversion into ethyl thioglycosides and also glycosyl bromides, which were borth used in glycoslyation reactions.
