Abstract

Abstract: The hydrogen-bonded dimer ions BH+-B and monohydrates BH+. H20 of 2- alkylpyridines, 2, 6-dialkylpyridines, and tertiary amines were investigated in the gas phase in the absence of solvent effects. The dissociation energies AHDO of the dimers and hydrates are not affected by steric crowding. Thus, AHDO of the dimers BH+.
