New resveratrol (RES) analogs were developed by replacing the aromatic 'core'of our initial naphthalene-based RES analogs with pseudo-heterocyclic (salicylaldoxime) or heterocyclic (benzofuran, quinoline, and benzothiazole) scaffolds.
