Abstract

In these reactions, the Cr(TPP)OTf catalyst promotes a cleavage of the C(3)–O bond in the substrates followed by the migration of the siloxymethyl group onto the carbon, providing excellent yields and almost perfect regio- and stereoselectivities for β-siloxy aldehydes.
