Abstract: Preparation of a double-stranded aflatoxin B,-oligodeoxynucleotide adduct by direct addition of aflatoxin B, 8, 9-epoxide to d (ATCGAT), is described. Reaction occurred rapidly at 5 OC to give a high yield of adduct. The reaction reached a limiting stoichiometry of 1: l aflatoxin B1 to d (ATCGAT)*.
