Abstract

Although it is a problem of much interest, relatively little attention has be& directed toward the addition of hydrogen bromide to acetylene compounds. Bauer2 obtained vinyl bromide and ethylene dibromide from acetylene and hydrogen bromide in the presence of gaseous oxidizing agents.
