Abstract

Whilst substituted acetylenic compounds are of interest because of their occurrence in many diaryl acetylenes of the structure p-AC,H,C=cC,H,Dp (D and A are electron donor and acceptor groups, respectively) have been synthesized and investigated recently for their spectroscopic and electronic properties.
