Abstract

Epoxyeicosatrienoic acids (EETs) are metabolites generated from the epoxidation of arachidonic acid by cytochrome P450 epoxygenases. 1 Four isoforms of EETs, namely the 5,6-; 8,9-; 11,12- and 14,15-EET, can be produced depending on the site of epoxidaton. 2 They possess vasodilatory 3 and anti-inflammatory properties. 4 A number of studies have suggested that EETs are the potential endothelial derived hyperpolarizing factor (EDHF) 5 involved in vascular, ...
