Benzylmethylchlorosilanes were prepared in high yields by the dechlorinative silylation of benzylic chlorides with methylchlorodisilanes MenSi2Cl6-n (n = 2, 3, and 4) in the presence of a catalytic amount of Pd(PPh3)4. ...
