Abstract

The recombinant halohydrin dehalogenase from Agrobacterium radiobacter AD1 was used to obtain enantiomerically pure halohydrins and epoxides by kinetic resolution. By adding an excess of the recombinant epoxide hydrolase from the same organism the reversible conversion was drawn to completion.
