Abstract As a continuation of a previous study, a series of substituted methyl 3- aminopropionates and 3-aminopropiono-hydroxamic acids were prepared and evaluated for their ability to lower blood pressure of rats. Many of the compounds possessed hypotensive properties but of very short duration. Some of the compounds were screened for their ability to protect mice against ȧ lethal dose of diisopropyl fluorophosphate but none was active.
