Abstract

The catalytic dehydrogenation in the vapor phase of alcohols to aldehydes has proved to be a useful, process. However, since liquid phase methods of hydrogenation are more useful in the laboratory than vapor phase methods, it seemed worth while to investigate the feasibility of dehydrogenations in the liquid phase.
