Abstract

Results Selection of Carbanion Substrates. In order to learn whether the n-overlap requirement would be a general constraint in skeletal rearrangement, we chose cyclic hydrocarbon, amine, and ether substrates, in which the starting carbanion would be constrained by the ring of which it was a member (encircled H in 11-16).
