Abstract

Abstract Oxaellipticine has been synthesized from 1, 4-dimethyldibenzofuran, by converting it to the 2-aldehyde, forming the Schiff's base with aminoacetaldehyde diethyl acetal, and cyclizing this with 105% superphosphoric acid.
