Abstract

Phenyl triflate and substituted analogues react with potassium diethyl phosphite in liquid ammonia to form aryl diethyl phosphate esters. The reaction formally involves loss of trifluoromethanesulfiiate ion from the triflate and concomitant oxidation of phosphorus to the phosphate stage.
