Abstract: The syntheses of the octadentate ligand DOTAM (1, 4, 7, 10-tetrakis (acetamido)-1, 4, 7, lO-cyclododecane) and its complexes with Zn (II), Cd (II), and Ca (II) are described. Crystal structures of [Cd (DOTAM)](C104) 2 1.5 H20 (l),[Ca (DOTAM)](C104) 2 2.5 H20 (2), and [Zn (DOTAM)](C104) 2 H20 (3) are reported.
