Abstract

Although a variety of macrocyclic polyether compounds such as crown ethers and cryptands have been reported in the literature,' there are few examples of heteromacrocycles con- taining oxime linkages except for Vogtle's macrocyclic mono- and di-oximes2 which are prepared from 1 ,Zdiketone dioximes and oligomeric dichloroethylene glycol by the usual methodY3 and a macrocyclic polyhydroximate formed via nucleophilic polymerization of acetonitrile ~xide.~ Described ...
