Abstract

Aryl- and heteroaryl-annulated carbazoles (AHACs) are key constituents found in natural products, biologically active molecules and drugs 1 as well as optoelectronic materials. 2 AHACs are classified into [a]-, [b]- and [c]-types based on the position at which the (hetero)aryl ring is fused to the carbazole nucleus.
