Abstract

In 1979 Sakurai and co-workers reported evidence that 2, 3-diphenyl-2, 3-disila-2-butene is configurationally stable toward cis-trans isomerization at temperatures up to 350 OC.'More recently Brook and co-workers observed for a series of 1, l-bis-(trimethylsilyl)-2- trimethylsiloxysilenes generated by photolysis of tris (trimethylsily1) acylsilanes four distinct 29Si resonances at temperatures up to 60" C, indicating that there is no free rotation about ...
